| Once again we were able to help other dogs this Holiday Season—because of your generosity!
Hunter was rescued from Altoona PA in December, from a crappy pen, his fur just soaked through with the rain. Hunter is sharing the treats of Magnum and Banshee, who both had plenty to share. He was vetted (we've decided to leave him unneutered due to his advanced age and the risks associated with anesthesia), he's already housetrained, and looking for his new, loving family! Look at him now, all snuggled up in the dog bed, snoring...just brings joy to your heart.

"Reagan was freed from chains on Sunday Dec. 14th 2008. He came home and immediately made friends with our other 8 rescued fur kids. It took us awhile to trust him with the cats and kitten but he is fitting in nicely. We are going to foster Reagan in hopes of finding a forever home with another dog. He loves the company. And he wants to play with toys but there is a lot of competition here. His lonely days are over." Bobbie & Terri McIntyre
A woman named Susan from Tennessee that we've helped with a crate for a rescued chained dog in the past called again; she rescued a skeletal chained momma hound dog and 11 puppies her neighbor dumped at her house. She has no internet, her husband died, and it's just her and her daughter. We were able to get her $200 worth of dog food to get her through until she can send us photos of the puppies so we can try to get them into rescue. She cried as she thanked us for helping her and the dogs.

We were able to pay the remainder of Nate's vet bills, one of our foster dogs in Canada.

Here is Petey opening his gifts...He loved his toys! It was like he was a little boy! He didn't know what to play with first! What a neat program and I am so thankful for what he did receive! — Amanda Barnett-Green, NM Area Representative Dogs Deserve Better

From Cody: I was soooo surprised today! A package came for ME! Little ole ME! My foster Mom let me open the package all by myself and I got to play with my own toys!!! Thank you so much for choosing me as your Sponsor! It gets a little crazy around here, lots of dogs, but now I have toys to call my very own! Thank you again for my balls and tug toys, I hope you have a WONDERFUL Holiday! Merry Christmas!!!—Paws, licks, and bellie rubs, Cody, Melody Whitworth

"I wanted to send you some more pictures of Desiree opening her present with her foster momma, Mari. It was the cutest thing. When it was time to move the bed, we could not get her off the darn thing. ha!! So much fun. This was the nicest program and so much fun to look forward to. I will send Tami, a big thank you too!! Thanks for organizing it. I'm sure it was a lot of work."—Gayla Hausman, Area Representative, Beatrice, Nebraska
Deam Tami, and Dawn, and anyone else who may have helped that I'm missing,
I wanted to thank you so much for your generosity both in time and money for putting the Foster Dog Holiday Program together. It was just the best experience. My foster momma enjoyed seeing Desiree getting all the nice things she was sent. We are still getting packages! The gift certificate was just the nicest treat, and we are going shopping for her in the near future. With all the hard times for people and our dogs, I thought that was the most generous thing to do. Just getting her vet bills paid was a treat in itself. So thank you for the many hours you spent putting this together, during a very busy time and for the wonderful gifts we received. We should be done with all the thank you cards and pictures today and I will be forwarding those to you.
With best regards,
Gayla Hausman, Area Representative, Beatrice, Nebraska, 402-239-5106

Magnum immediately attacks his giraffe and makes short work of it. Above and below.

Haddie was a very good girl this holiday season - she must have been, otherwise she would not have received so many presents from Santa :)
Haddie is a ball fanatic - and received many balls in her stocking from kind DDB Sponsors. She really likes the balls that barely fit in her mouth the best!
Haddie also received many treats and most importantly - several large bottles of Dasuguan supplements to help her with her hip dysplasia challenges. Haddie did not seem too interested in the Dasuquan - but her foster mom was thrilled!
Haddie sends big kisses to all of her holiday sponsors!

Rosie being the kind-hearted soul that she is, offered Maizy's new bed to another dog who might appreciate it. That dog turned out to be Beeper, a senior mini-poodle who was rescued from the same "home" that Maizy came from.
Having never had a big soft bed before, Beeper was a little wary at first. - but as you can see in these pictures, he gave it a try and decided that he liked it!
Thank you Rosie for sending a soft bed to a pup that has never had one.
Side note - Rosie is the adoptive mom to Molllie, a formerly chained Lab adopted through DDB. Apparently, Mollie lucked out big time!

Hannah is away with her foster mom until 12/31 - so I am not going to be able to get pics of her with her presents until then.
Because Maizy received the best git of all - a new family - I had to ship Maizy's gifts to Mass (where her new family is) and am waiting for pictures from them. I do have a picture of Miazy wth Santa and her new siblings though. (above)
