I'm with Georgia Heartland Humane Society located in Newnan, GA. We set up
on June 28 in the parking lot in front of Office Max. We had a lot of
traffic coming through there - lots of stares, people stopping to ask what
was going on, people asking if we were selling puppies or holding adoptions.
We invited the media to come but no one showed up.
We were disappointed but
will do things a little different next year to advertise the event. Since
it was our first time chaining with DDB, we didn't really know what to
expect. I already have more volunteers to chain themselves next year just
because they admired us for doing it. We said if it saved one dog then it
was worth it.
I did get 2 addresses where chained dogs are living. We're
going to send them the DDB letter/flyer and try to help them realize what
they are doing to their poor dog.
Take care and way to go to all of you. We'll be chaining again with you
next year.
