Chained 8 hours
Attached are two pictures of my chaining on 7/6/08. I was chained
for 8 hours that day. I did not have a dog house to chain myself, but I
used a swing that is actually inside my pool area. I was less than a foot
away from the pool, but, did not go in to cool off and it was a 90 plus
degree day. Also, I was not in any shade. However, I did drink some water
from time to time. I did not have a very long lead attached, so at times,
I had a little trouble turning around to sit in different positions. This
truly made me think how some dogs are treated and made me very sad. A
couple times my husband would leave our own dogs out of the house and they
are so used to be swimming in the pool, they sat outside of the fence and
barked their heads off to be left in the pool. They could not understand
what I was doing sitting in there. My husband ended up leaving them in to
take a dip. I got a few nice drops of water from them when they did their
shakes. :o) A very eye opening experience for me. I don't understand how
people can have dogs and chain them up outside permanently. Keep up the GREAT work!!
